Ancient Khara Korum tour - 6 days

Route: Ulaanbaatar-Khara Korum –back Ulaanbaatar

In fact, tours  in Mongolia  unlike any other travel destinations of the world.. It is best known for its 13th century empire ruled by Genghis Khan of half world. In this case , this our tour  included the cultural and historical highlights of this geographically diverse country as vast  plain , foot hill mountains of Khangai Mountain range and the world renowned Gobi Desert, as well as world last surviving  nomadic civilization . Our  tour will start  with a visit to the capital, Ulaanbaatar  which began as “Gandan “ monastery , now also serves as the cultural, economic and political center  of Mongolia. You take a tour of this city, including the Museum of Natural History where existing large skeleton of dinosaurs.

 We will  visit the nomadic families and experience how they have lived for centuries since the time of the great Khans, and travel to history-laden Khara Khorum city remain.    Chingis Khan and his son created the beautiful and legendary 13th-century capital of the Mongolian Empire to serve as the heart of their monolithic empire. This bustling, momentous capital was abandoned by Kublai Khan for his new city in Beijing. There are now only a few traces left of Kharakhorum, but Mongolia's largest and grandest monastery, neighboring Erdene Zuu, was reputedly constructed from the ruins of this once great city in the 16th century.


Day-1: Arrive in Ulaanbaatar
Arrive in Ulaanbaatar, the Capital City of Mongolia. You will be met at the airport and transferred to the hotel. After lunch, a city tour including visit to the Dinosaur Exhibitions Hall at the Natural History Museum and the Mongolian last king palace. The dinner will be served at the History Club restaurant, which offers the wonderful performance of pleasant melodies of horse headed violin and the traditional throat song. ’’khoomii”. 
Before dinner : a shopping program because we would not have time when back from the trip.Overnight:  in the  “Mongol Shiltgeen “city hotel , (L,D)

Day-2:Ulaanbaatar-Ulkhiin Bulan (the Tuul river)
Our first stop will be the reserve of the wild horses (the Przewalski horse) re-introduced back to the native land of their ancestors.  Next stop will be the monument ensemble constructed by the Tureg (Turkish) tribes during the 6th to 8th centuries BC.. Just before camping, we will briefly stop at the “Ikh Alag “mountain which features Neolithic petroglyphs. For dinner, you will be offered the ‘’Boodog “, one of the Mongolian national delicacies, and then will spend the night in a tent.(B,L,D)

Day-3: Ulkhiin Bulan (the Tuul river)—Little Gobi Desert(Elsen Tasarkhai)
Just further on way will see an area is inhabited by herds of thousands of white-tailed gazelles all year round and there is also a hidden area where wild sheep, called ‘Ovis’, and elks live. Our group will stay overnight in a tourist camp and enjoy the small sand dunes  and horse  riding for couple of hour. (B,L,D)

Day-4:Little Gobi Desert –KharaKhorum-Ugii Lake
From the Little Gobi Desert , we will drive towards  Kharkhorum, the ruins of the ancient capital of the Mongolian Empire in the 13th century, and the Erdenezuu Monastery of the16th century that once used to be a center of Buddhism in Mongolia. From there, our team will set off for the Khushoo Tsaidam Monument of the Turkish khanate, which dates from the 6th and the 7th centuries BC.. We will stay overnight in a tourist “Ger” camp at the lakeshore where you may choose to do some fishing or swimming.(B,L,D)

Day-5: Ugii Lake ---Ulaanbaatar (Capital of Mongolia)
Today, our main tourist destination will be the Khar Bukhiin Balgas ruins that once used to be a castle of the Kidan dynasty, dating back to the 10th – 11th centuries. We will arrive in Ulaanbaatar at around 4 p.m. and check into the hotel. Afterwards we will go for a brief shopping tour, before a farewell party in the evening.(B,L,D)

Day-6: Departure from your hotel to the airport. ( B)
