Stark beauty South-Eastern Gobi Desert - 5 days trip

Route:Ulaanbaatar-Southern Gobi Desert- East Gobi Desert—Zamiin Uud (Chinese border)

This route is designed especially to save time  with a direct flight  right to heat  of the Southern Gobi Desert. and we will be heading off toward Chinese border through the Eastern Gobi Desert . The route gives  the   most comprehensive impression of South-Eastern Gobi  Desert  in a short  duration.
Highlights: Dinosaur fossil site Roy Chapman Canyon , National Park Yoliin Am, unusual ruined Demchig remain of temple. Largest Gobi-Desert  entirely covered with saxaul forest  named “ Galaviin Gobi”. Itinerary

Day-1: Arrive in Ulaanbaatar
Arrive in Ulaanbaatar – the capital city of Mongolia. You will be met at the airport and transferred to the hotel. Before departing Ulaanbaatar, in preparation for your visit to the Gobi Desert, enjoy a special visit to the Natural History Museum as well as the Bogd Khaan Winter Palace, the home of the last Mongolian King. Dinner at the History Club, a restaurant offering a wonderful performance of pleasant melodies played on the “Morin Khuur” - the horse headed violin, and the traditional throat song known as “Khoomii”. Overnight in the hotel.

Day-2:USet off by airplane for the heart of Gobi Desert.
You will be met at the  airport by our staff, and head off to the "Flaming Cliffs". Renamed the "Flaming Cliffs" by US paleontlogists Roy Chapman Andrews, the first man found dinosaur eggs in the  area in the 1920"s, Bayan -zag is stunning place. Sometimes referred to as the Cemetery of Dinosaurs,a visit to Bayanzag will allow you to see pre historical fossils, ever shifting  sand dunes and majestic mountains.
Overnight: Settle into your own traditional “ Ger “ based camp for a night.(B,L,D)

Day-3: Yoliin Am National Park—Demchig Temple(remain)
Today our main spot is the Yoliin Am, a very picturesque nature reserve. There you will see such rare animals as wild sheep and ibexes.  Our guide will point out the animals from a certain distance with the help of binoculars. Maybe they will cross right across our path. The place is full of beautiful flowers and plants.
We head for the remains of the “Demchigiin Khiid” temple that is surrounded by a rocky mountain area.  Finding the remains of the temple is a bit difficult . Overnight in tent beside the temple.(B,L,D)

Day-4:Demchig Temple(remain)-- Ergillin Zoo nature reserve.
We will cross the Mongolian largest Gobi Desert named "Galbiin Gobi" where you can see such a large herd of wild donkeys and antelopes that are a reminder of African National Parks.
The vast expanse is covered with the desert vegetation called saksaul and tamarisk.
There are no humans therefore it’s beauty is of complete starkness .
Overnight in tent.(B,L,D)

Day-5: Ergillin Zoo nature reserve. – Zamiin Uud (Mongolian border)
Eastern Mongolian vast steppe appears to you as a vast emptiness except for the  antelopes running away.
How to cross the border:
You can either catch the train that takes you to Beijing or cross the border by vehicle. Another possibility is to stay in a hotel and cross the border the next morning by any vehicle. We can organize it whatever your preference. The route is specialized for those who want to catch a train at the Mongolian border and proceed on their own towards China or other Asian countries.
